2020 Race Information

The Wolverine Canyon Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, 5K, and 1K for kids is a beautiful race course beginning in spectacular Wolverine Canyon, nestled in the majestic Blackfoot Mountains of Eastern Idaho. This downhill marathon leads to the banks of the world famous Snake River, where you’ll view the rugged terrain of Hell’s Half Acre, a massive 150 square mile lava flow. You’ll finish your run along the banks of the Snake River, ending at Jensen Lake in the heart of the Snake River Valley.

This race will be Boston Marathon Certified and will help raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, a pulmonary disease of the lungs. For every Wolverine Canyon Marathon, we shine a spotlight on Eastern Idaho community members who have cystic fibrosis. In 2017, we profiled Frannie Baumgartner Crumley of Blackfoot, Idaho, who turned 40 years old and was fortunate enough to have a double lung transplant to extend her life. In 2018, we wrote a story about Emersyn Drollinger of Shelley, Idaho, is a talented and optimistic nine-year-old little girl who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as an infant. In 2019, we highlighted Taylor VanOrden, a 4 year old who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was less than a week old. This year, we will be highlighting Erik and Ryker Goodwin! Story to come.
